Your information
Privacy Policy
This policy explains what Go232Go News processes when you read, save, share or interact with Sierra Leone news and Social Pulse.

1. Who we are
Go232Go News is a news aggregation, briefing and discovery service operated by Tech Has No Face (THNF). For privacy questions and requests, email [email protected].
2. Information we process
Information stored on your device
Your saved-story list, followed-story list, language, low-data setting, selected district, onboarding status, recent Majik visit and advertising frequency counters are stored in your browser. They remain on that device unless you clear its site data.
Usage and advertising information
We record limited events such as opening or sharing a story, selecting a district, asking Majik, and viewing or following an advertisement. These events may include a random browser identifier, story identifier, selected district, campaign and placement. The browser identifier is transformed into a one-way hash before it is stored. We use these records for readership trends, service improvement, fair-use protection, security and aggregated advertiser reporting.
Location
If you press “Use my location”, your browser asks for permission. Precise coordinates are used on your device to identify the nearest Sierra Leone district. Go232Go receives the resulting district, not your precise coordinates. You can instead select a district manually.
Notifications
If you enable alerts, we store the notification endpoint and encryption keys supplied by your browser, along with your national or district choices, followed-story choices, briefing preferences and quiet hours. These technical details are needed to deliver notifications.
Information you submit
Publisher, correction and partnership requests may contain a name, organisation, email address, website, feed details and message. Questions entered into Ask Majik are processed to produce an answer but are not presented as public posts.
Public social content
Social Pulse may process public posts, account names, handles, media, timestamps and links obtained from authorised platform connections or newsroom submissions. Social reports are labelled and kept separate from verified publisher reporting.
3. Why we use information
We process information to provide requested features, remember device preferences, deliver alerts, answer Majik questions, maintain security, detect faults, understand aggregated readership, manage advertising frequency, report campaign performance and respond to publisher or privacy requests.
Depending on the feature and applicable law, we rely on your consent—for example for device location and notifications—our legitimate interests in operating and improving a safe, sustainable news service, performance of a requested service, and compliance with legal obligations. You may withdraw device permissions through your browser or operating-system settings.
4. Majik AI and automated processing
Majik may use automated systems to select, summarise, translate, compare and read publisher reporting. When server AI is enabled, a question and relevant publisher evidence may be sent to an AI service provider to generate a grounded response or audio. Majik outputs are informational, can be incomplete or wrong, and display sources so readers can check the underlying reporting.
Go232Go does not use Majik to make decisions about readers that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. Who receives information
We disclose information only as needed to organisations that host, secure, monitor or support Go232Go; database, notification, AI and social-platform integration providers; professional advisers; or public authorities where lawfully required. Advertisers receive aggregated campaign measurements rather than a reader list.
Publisher, advertiser and social-media images or links may be served by external services. When you open an external article, advert or social post, that service receives the normal technical information associated with a web request and applies its own privacy policy.
Service providers may process information in other countries. Where required, we use appropriate contractual, technical or legal safeguards for international transfers.
6. Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purposes described here, considering operational, reporting, dispute-resolution, security and legal requirements. Browser preferences stay on your device until you remove them. Push subscriptions remain until you unsubscribe, revoke permission or the endpoint becomes invalid. Publisher and correction records are retained while a request is handled and for an appropriate record of the outcome. Public-interest news and social-source records may be retained as part of the news archive, subject to correction or removal review.
We use access controls, encryption in transit, restricted administration and other proportionate safeguards. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and browser storage
Go232Go uses first-party browser storage for essential preferences, offline functionality, anonymous measurement and advertisement frequency limits. We do not currently use third-party behavioural-advertising cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy and request consent where required.
8. Your choices and rights
You can use Go232Go without creating a reader account. You may refuse location or notification permission, choose a district manually, clear saved stories and preferences through browser settings, unsubscribe from alerts, or follow original publisher links without using Majik.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or an objection to certain processing, and to withdraw consent. Email [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity. You may also complain to the data-protection authority responsible for your location.
9. Children
Go232Go is a general-audience news service and is not designed to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, remove it.
10. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when the service, providers or applicable requirements materially change. The date at the top identifies the current version.
